Rabbi Andi Berlin brings a rare blend of rabbinic depth and organizational development expertise, making her especially skilled at guiding synagogues through moments of transition, conflict, and change.
She served Temple Sinai in Oakland, California, for more than 13 years (including a term as Senior Sabbatical Substitute Rabbi). When her family was young, she stepped back from the demands of full-time congregational life and founded a successful corporate consulting firm. In that role, she discovered a passion for helping organizations navigate conflict and transformation.
Yet her deepest purpose—her raison d’être—has always remained in the rabbinate. Her goal was to return to the rabbinate when her children were no longer home. Rabbi Berlin sought a way to bring together her two callings: nurturing Jewish community and guiding organizations through change. The answer came in the interim rabbinate.
As an Interim Rabbi, she is able to do what she loves most: build sacred relationships, enrich Jewish life, and help congregations move with strength and clarity into their next chapter.
